HB 208 (Reps. Kirby, Caldwell, Turner, BAttles, Cantrell, and Kelly-R)

Amends multiple current code sections to abolish the current state income tax and replace it with a 7.5% state sales tax and caps the agregate amount of all excise taxes imposed in O.C.G.A. § 48-13-51 and all sales and use taxes at 17.5%.  It also provides provisions for a monthly sales tax rebate for families in poverty and procedures for such families to apply for these rebates.
